Nigeria Fencing Federation president, Adeyinka Samuel

Nigeria Fencing Federation president, Adeyinka Samuel, has been elected president of the Commonwealth Fencing Federation.

Samuel defeated incumbent Marie-France Dufour at the federation’s elective Annual General Meeting held at Rugby School Nigeria, Atlantic City on Saturday.

He secured 14 votes against Dufour’s six.

This victory makes Samuel the first African and Nigerian to lead the CFF, breaking a long-standing tradition of leadership from countries such as Scotland, Australia, and Canada.
