Springbok captain Siya Kolisi injured his hamstring against Argentina on Saturday evening and will go for scans to determine the extent of the injury ahead of Rugby's Greatest Rivalry.

Siya Kolisi could be a doubt for the start of Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry after the Springbok captain suffered another hamstring injury in Saturday’s 17-10 victory over Argentina in Buenos Aires.

Kolisi lasted just 24 minutes of the hard-fought one-off clash before being forced off, adding to the Springboks’ injury list ahead of their four-Test series against the All Blacks, starting later this month at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

The 35-year-old flanker said in a TV interview after the match that he had injured his hamstring and will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury.

“I hurt my hamstring again, unfortunately. So, I’ll go for a scan and see how far it is. It’s really tough, but I can’t be sad about it. There’s nothing I can do now, other than to go and have a scan and then see how long I’m out for,” Kolisi said.
