Today could be a lucky day for Powerball players, after the draw for the eighth-largest prize in the game’s history and the largest of the year so far: a jackpot of $856 million.
The winning numbers drawn Saturday night were 5, 9, 35, 54, 63 and red Powerball 7, with a Power Play multiplier of 3.
The cash prize value is approximately $371 million. It was not immediately clear whether any tickets had matched all six numbers.
No one has won the grand prize in over three months, allowing the jackpot to steadily grow to tonight’s enormous sum.
No ticket matched all six winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing, which had a jackpot of $794 million. The winning numbers were 14, 20, 59, 60, 61 and red Powerball 25, with a Power Play multiplier of 2.
