The Visakhapatnam South Zone Round of the national-level women-only hackathon, “Women Who Master 2026,” drew an enthusiastic response at Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College of Engineering (Autonomous) here on Saturday (August 8, 2026).Organised by Aspire For Her in collaboration with Logitech and Prajna Resources Pvt. Ltd., the full-day tech event featured an official attempt to set a Guinness World Records title.The competition brought together women engineering students from prominent institutions across the region, including Andhra University, GITAM, KL University, Aditya College, Sri Vishnu Women’s College, Gayatri College, Sri Vasavi Engineering College, and Vignan. Additional wild-card entry opportunities further broadened participation, giving aspiring technologists a platform to showcase their innovation.Centred around Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, and entrepreneurship, participants tackled real-world problem statements under mentor guidance. Teams presented their technical solutions before an expert jury, complemented by an on-site multiple-choice question (MCQ) assessment to evaluate technical aptitude.Expressing delight over the high turnout, G. Madhu Kumar, Secretary and Correspondent of Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya Colleges, and Prof. D. Deepak Chowdary, Principal of the Engineering College, noted that such initiatives are vital for fostering technical prowess, creative thinking, and practical problem-solving among young women. The programme was coordinated by Mr. D. Bhujanga Rao, Coordinator of the Skill Development Centre (SDC).Top-performing teams will advance to the Grand Finale at Logitech Headquarters in Chennai, where they will tackle a fresh problem statement under direct industry mentorship.Winners will receive cash prizes of ₹1,00,000, ₹75,000, and ₹50,000, respectively, along with official certificates and promising career pathways.” Published - August 08, 2026 07:33 pm IST
