Saudi Arabian club Al Diriyah are preparing an improved offer to try to convince Turkish giants Besiktas to sell Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi during the current summer transfer window, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
According to Turkish sports daily Fanatik, Al Diriyah are keen to secure Ndidi’s signature after an initial bid of €7m was rejected by Besiktas, and are now preparing to return with a higher offer as they look to strengthen their options in midfield.
Ndidi has established himself as an influential figure for the Black and Whites since joining from Leicester City last summer, impressing with his experience, leadership and defensive qualities to become an important part of the squad.
The former Genk midfielder underlined his importance to the side after helping Besiktas secure a 1-0 victory over FC Hradec Kralove at the Malsovicka Arena in the UEFA Conference League qualifier.
