An agent with an empty machine spends its first twenty minutes discovering the machine is empty. It runs apt-get, hits a missing system dependency, retries, installs the wrong thing, and burns real tokens on setup you could have done once, at build time, for everyone.

So I built the machine properly. This is what went on it, what that cost in disk, and the three things that passed every build and would still have broken in a user's hands.

Every number here is measured on the real box, not estimated.
