The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj exercise to submit their valid international passports on or before August 25, 2026.

The board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, issued the directive in a statement on behalf of the Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle, on Saturday.

According to the statement, the directive is part of measures to ensure the timely registration and documentation of all intending pilgrims ahead of the commencement of the 2027 Hajj process.

“The DG has warned that any registered intending pilgrim who fails to submit his or her international passport on or before the stipulated deadline may not be allocated a Hajj seat,” the statement said. According to the Director-General, the deadline became necessary due to the need to complete the enrolment and documentation of all intending pilgrims within the required timeframe, particularly in view of the anticipated closure of the Saudi Arabian Hajj registration server towards the end of August.
