BSNL Madurai has floated a tender for appointment of new business partners/ franchisees to sell its SIM cards and recharge services.In a statement, its Principal General Manager P. Loganathan said BSNL Madurai Business Area had got 573 4G mobile network towers in Madurai, 250 in Karaikudi, and 178 in Virudhunagar. As the BSNL offerred high-quality 4G services at affordable tariffs, the number of mobile users had been increasing.To expand its customer base further, the BSNL had planned to appoint new franchises to provide SIM cards and recharge services. Applications were invited from distributors with a strong retail network in telecommunications, FMCG, electronics or electrical appliances sectors, and existing authorised BSNL SIM card dealers/ franchisees.Interested applicants could download the Expression of Interest (EOI) documents from: https://tender.bsnl.co.in or https://etenders.gov.inThe statement said the applications could be submitted till 3 p.m. on August 17.
