Preethi Hospitals in Madurai conducted the second edition of the Preethi Advanced Arthroplasty Course (PAAC-2) on August 8 and 9.The programme attracted more than 300 delegates from across Tamil Nadu, along with arthroplasty surgeons and faculty from different parts of India.The course brings together orthopaedic surgeons, postgraduate trainees and fellows for focused learning in contemporary joint replacement surgery.The scientific programme features 18 live surgeries, expert lectures, panel discussions, medal paper presentations and robotic workshops, covering knee, hip and shoulder arthroplasty.Key areas include robotic-assisted arthroplasty, primary and revision joint replacement, evidence-based practice, complex case management and modern surgical techniques.A major highlight of PAAC-2 was the live surgical demonstrations, giving delegates an opportunity to observe contemporary operative techniques and engage with faculty during interactive discussions.The robotic workshops further introduced participants to advances in technology-assisted surgical planning and precision in joint replacement.The committee was led by organising chairman R.
