Key Facts

The number. Argentina’s country risk closed at 451 basis points on Friday, up 3 percent on the day and the highest since June.

The streak. The Merval fell for a sixth straight session and is down roughly 5 percent so far in August. New York-listed Argentine shares lost as much as 5.6 percent.
