The initial investigation by the Metropolitan Police and Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) London into an “attempted burglary” was closed without arrests. CTP London has since identified a line of inquiry that was not pursued at the time, leading the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) to investigate a staff member for alleged failure.
