On Saturday, warm conditions will persist over the northern and interior regions, while cloud cover increases across the south and west. Rain is expected along the south-western coast, spreading eastwards during the day.
The South African Weather Service forecasts a 30% chance of rain around Cape Town, increasing to 80% along parts of the southern coastline. Strong coastal winds and rough seas are also expected.
Conditions are expected to deteriorate significantly on Sunday as the cold front moves inland. Rainfall is forecast to become more widespread across the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and southern interior, with an 80% chance of rain along parts of the southern coast.
