The original investigation into the attempted burglary was closed without arrests, but a new line of inquiry has since been identified by Counter Terrorism Policing London. Vicki Evans, Senior National Co-ordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing, confirmed the re-opened investigation is part of the ongoing murder inquiry. Counter Terrorism Policing London has made a mandatory conduct referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). The IOPC is independently investigating a CTP London staff member for allegedly failing to identify and pursue the relevant line of inquiry during the initial attempted burglary probe.
