MIAMI GARDENS, Fla., Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Jeff Hafley said he'll seek immediate physicality from his cornerbacks, which typically brings the toughness the Miami Dolphins' rookie coach craves.
The defensive backs guru, who was hired in January, has eyed the group throughout training camp as an intense competition unfolds to determine his starters.
Meanwhile, he marches a comprehensive quest to alter the culture of the Dolphins, who haven't won a playoff game in 25 years and vie to amplify tenacity.
"I think when you look at a football team in general, the way I view a defense is when I turn on the tape, whether it's our team or another team, if the corners are physical and they're tackling, it's usually a pretty tough team," Hafley said at training camp in Miami Gardens, Fla.
