Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner of 20 years, Georgina Rodriguez, were reported to be set to marry this weekend, but seeds of doubt have been sewn about the exact date of the nuptials.

It has been claimed Cristiano and Georgina's wedding is set to take place this Saturday at the Funchal Cathedral in Madeira before a lavish reception at the nearby 5 star Savoy Hotel.

Local reports claim the cathedral in the island’s capital Funchal is booked for a big wedding on Saturday with Georgina rumoured to be walking down the aisle at Funchal Cathedral, which seats approximately 800 people.

From there, the couple would make the five-minute drive or 15-minute walk to the wedding reception at the Savoy.

The Mail said that Ronaldo and his family have previously stayed at The Savoy Palace, staying in the The Reserve, the hotel’s luxury ‘hotel-within-a-hotel’ located on the upper floors.
