Sam Fender & Olivia Dean Extend Record as ‘Rein Me In’ Scores 20th Week as U.K. No. 1 Song

Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have extended their record-breaking run with a 20th week atop the U.K.’s Singles Chart with “Rein Me In” on the tally published Friday (Aug. 7).

The pair notched a new record for the longest-running No. 1 single in U.K. chart history with a 19th non-consecutive week at the summit on July 31. They took down a record that was held for 73 years by Frankie Laine for “I Believe,” which earned 18 weeks back in 1953.
