CAF on Friday said it had taken note of FIFA’s acknowledgement of the mistakes and its commitment to ensure that similar issues would not occur again.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has accepted and unanimously endorsed an apology issued by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Secretary General Mattias Grafström over mistakes made in the process leading to the proposed establishment of the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE).
The development came as the Argentine Football Association (AFA) also expressed support for Infantino’s management of FIFA over the last 10 years, commending his administration for what it described as the development of football worldwide and institutional solidity based on governance.
The CAF Executive Committee (EXCO) endorsed a "Joint Update" issued by FIFA leadership, in which FIFA acknowledged that the process had not sufficiently involved the FIFA Council and member associations, and apologised for the shortcomings.
