In 2026, Kwara budgeted N4.5 billion for the purchase of security equipment. However, by the end of the first half of the year, only N754 million had been spent, representing about 16.8% of the allocation.
During the same six-month period, the state spent N1.3 billion on foreign trips, about N546 million more than it expended on security equipment.
