Atiku Alleges Unknown Persons Obtained His Private Bank Details, Paid Money Into Account Without His Knowledge

Atiku described the development as a dangerous breach of financial privacy and a potential abuse of power ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has alleged that unknown persons illegally obtained the details of one of his private bank accounts and paid money into it without his knowledge.

Atiku described the development as a dangerous breach of financial privacy and a potential abuse of power ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said the suspicious transfer was made into one of his personal accounts domiciled in a leading commercial bank in Nigeria.

"The transfer originated from a person totally unknown to His Excellency with the narration 'Contribution Electioneering Campaign,' Shaibu stated.
