Article Student Living, a Chicago-based, vertically integrated student housing operator, continues to expand its presence in one of the country’s fastest-growing university markets with today’s announcement of its acquisition of Signature Apartments near the University of Kentucky. The acquisition further builds on the firm’s growing portfolio of $3.1 billion in assets under management.

The University of Kentucky reported an enrollment of nearly 39,000 students for Fall 2025, a 7.1% increase from the previous year and 24% growth over the past five years. Enrollment growth is projected to continue. The university ranks as the state’s top academic institution with a 17:1 student-faculty ratio and a competitive athletic program in the SEC.
