Global fuel supply fears have switched from jet to ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) as fighting in Ukraine and the Middle East directly removes upwards of 1 million barrels per day of the coveted road fuel from world markets. The two transport fuels’ fortunes are closely intertwined with jet and diesel using many of the same pricing benchmarks and refiners routinely forced to choose between the two when it comes to maximising production.
