A serial Tube sex attacker has been found guilty of murdering two women and almost killing a third while on police bail.Simon Levy, 40, suffocated Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, in March 2025, before using the same method to kill Sheryl Wilkins, 39, five months later. He has also been found guilty of violently raping another woman in January last year, whom he left for dead. Detectives now believe Levy may have claimed scores of victims while he was on bail, carrying out daily attacks for years, escalating from groping women on the London Underground to rape, suffocation and eventually murder. Now, as Levy faces the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of murder and rape, it can be revealed how police, prosecutors and probation services missed a monster in their midst. In an appalling betrayal of victims, despite him having a shocking record for sexual violence dating back to 2018, British Transport Police (BTP), the Metropolitan Police, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and magistrates all failed to protect the public, releasing Levy on bail four times in a series of failures. It left him free to stalk the transport network daily, claiming countless victims. While on bail Levy carried out at least six sexual assaults on the Tube, raped and suffocated a sex worker leaving her for dead, and killed two other women in a two-year rampage.
