Granite Appoints George L. Nash, Jr. to Board of Directors

Granite (NYSE: GVA) announced today the appointment of George L. Nash, Jr. to its Board of Directors, effective August 5, 2026.

With more than three decades of leadership experience across the global energy, infrastructure, and construction sectors, Mr. Nash brings extensive operational, strategic, and governance expertise to support Granite’s continued growth and long-term value creation.

Mr. Nash most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of the North America region of Atkins, now AtkinsRéalis, a global leader in design, engineering, and project management services. During his tenure, the business more than doubled revenue and profitability while expanding its capabilities across infrastructure, transportation, environmental, water, defense, and energy markets. He also led the North American organization through Atkins’ integration with SNC-Lavalin following its acquisition in 2017, helping strengthen the company’s position as a leading provider of engineering and project management services throughout the United States and Canada.

Prior to Atkins, Mr. Nash held senior executive leadership positions with AECOM and URS Corporation. Following AECOM’s acquisition of URS, he served as President of AECOM’s Energy, Industrial and Infrastructure Construction division, overseeing a global portfolio of engineering, construction, and project management activities. Earlier, as Chief Operating Officer and later President of URS Corporation’s global Energy and Construction division, he was responsible for major business units serving power, industrial, infrastructure, environmental, and energy markets worldwide.
