Scarlett Moffatt is having a very different pregnancy experience the second time round - but can't wait to add another little one to her brood12:57, 07 Aug 2026Scarlett Moffatt has opened up on her 'miracle' second pregnancy and revealed "the first trimester was horrific". The Gogglebox star and fiancé Scott Dobinson, who already share three-year-old son Jude, announced they were expecting again in April.‌The first time around, the 35-year-old said she had an easy pregnancy and experienced no bad symptoms - not even morning sickness. But she shared that being pregnant with baby number two hasn't quite been as plain sailing.‌"The first trimester was horrific. With Jude, I was lured into a false sense of security – I kept thinking that all my friends who were pregnant were dead whingy because I had no morning sickness or any symptoms, other than the fact I could feel him moving about," she said in a new interview.‌She added to The Sun: "But this time, the first trimester I was still working and filming and I was getting bad travel sickness – I've never had that in my life before. I was also running off to throw up at work."Scarlett - who has been open about her struggles to conceive - shared the news of her pregnancy earlier this year, after revealing her struggle to conceive.‌"We honestly can't believe we're writing this. After everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say… our family is growing," she said at the time."One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he's going to be a big brother. And if there's one thing we know for certain, it's that he is going to be the most amazing big brother."We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock… Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible."‌In May, Scarlett exclusively revealed to The Mirror that she was expecting another baby boy and said: "I was born to be a boy mum.""I'm so excited." she said at the thought of her beloved Jude having a little brother. She continued: "All my family and friends knew I wanted another boy."Of course it would've been wonderful to have had a girl – a healthy baby is all that matters – but my preference was a boy, to give Jude a brother. I'm just so happy for him. He's got someone to share his life with now."‌When she was on I'm A Celebrity, which was filmed at the end of 2025, Scarlett explained how she had lost a baby as she and her Scott tried for a second child. She told her campmates: "We tried for a long time and had some losses, and it's not nice, is it? And because no one talks about it, you think something is wrong with you. You're like, why is it not happening? It's a hard one.‌"After Jude was born, we tried again and got quite far on and miscarried, and I remembered Scott's mum and dad took Jude for the day, and me and Scott just laid in bed crying. It was awful. Because in our head, we were like, ‘Imagine them running downstairs at Christmas together'."When you lose a baby in that way, you're sort of mourning a life that you imagined. It's just really sad. We just have to be so grateful we have got ours."It was at this point that Scarlett suggested they stop trying for another baby as the heartbreak had become too much. After vowing to put less pressure on themselves, the pair were overjoyed to learn they were expecting again just three weeks later.Article continues belowGushing about partner Scott, who Scarlett hopes to marry soon, she previously told OK! Magazine: "If there’s one thing I’ve got right in this world, it’s picking Scott to be the father of my children. He looks after us all."I'm not going to lie, this [second] pregnancy has been intense. I've been quite sick and Scott has been amazing. It's been a lot, but I'm actually grateful. Now I know what morning sickness is like, I've experienced it. Yes, it's awful, but what a privilege to get to go through it, to go through all of this again."Like this story?
