APAC data center firm Empyrion has topped out its upcoming facility in Johor, Malaysia.

The Singapore-based data center company shared progress updates on its Malaysian data center campus on LinkedIn, located in the city of Nusajaya, Johor, southern Malaysia.

As well as being topped out, the data center’s superstructure has been completed, with further construction on Phase I in progress.

Empyrion shared that it was on track for the two-story 40MW capacity first phase building to be ready for service (RFS) in Q1 2027. This follows the firm's announcement of its initial plans for the Johor data center campus (MY1) in December 2025. The new RFS has been pushed back from initial targets of Q4 2026.

The MY1 data center campus will comprise five buildings, each 40MW, constructed over five phases with a targeted total capacity of more than 200MW. It will provide 158,000 sqm (1.7 million sq ft) of colocation space on a 34.9-acre site.
