MANILA, Philippines — Manila police arrested a high-value drug suspect and seized over P2.2 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Malate, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Friday.

Manila Police District (MPD) operatives on Tuesday morning arrested the 40-year-old suspect along the corner of San Andres Street and Taal Street, confiscating illegal drugs weighing 325 grams, according to the NCRPO.

“Recovered from his possession were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and three knot-tied plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu,” it said in a press release.
