Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund will pay $US2.5 billion ($3.6 billion) for a 25 per cent stake in the local operations of JBS, the meat processing giant behind Primo smallgoods, Huon salmon and Rivalea pork brands.

JBS, which is listed in New York and Sao Paolo, has made a string of acquisitions in Australia over the past two decades to become the biggest player in its sector.
