The popular presenter, 52, has been asked to slip into sequins a number of times by the BBC, but he's always refused.A number of GMB stars have taken part in Strictly, including Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway. However, Adil won't be joining them and now he's revealed why.Admitting there is zero chance he would ever sign up for the primetime programme, he said on today’s episode of the ITV breakfast show: “They (the BBC) have asked a few times. But no, it’s not for me.”When asked by co-host, Kate, why he'd turned it down, he admitted: “I just can’t embarrass myself, l would be terrible!" Teasing Kate, who took part in Strictly in 2007, he added: "I watched you, and I thought, ‘No, I can’t do that!'”Adil opened up about his Strictly phobia while discussing the show's latest recruits. It's not long before the new series kicks off, which will see a host of new presenters and professional dancers take to the stage.Presented by Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe, after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's exit, fans can't wait for the show to start.Taking to the floor this year are EastEnders' Lacey Turner, Love Island winner, Dani Dyer - after her time on the show was cut short last year following an ankle injury last year - and Eurovision star, Delta Goodrem.Joining them are Kim Kardashian's stylist, Chris Appleton, Love Island's Cash Mercer, and Big Brother presenter, Will Best. Also signed up are Paralympian, Dame Sarah Storey, actresses Jaime Winstone and Bethany Antonia, former footballer, Shaun Wright-Phillips, dog expert, Graeme Hall, and Emmerdale star, Lawrence Robb.There have been a lot of names thrown into the mix for this year's Strictly, with Gavin & Stacey star Melanie Walters said to be the latest celebrity to have reportedly signed up.Known for her role as Stacey's mam, Gwen West, in the BAFTA-winning series, Melanie has also starred in Hollyoaks and had guest roles in a string of shows including Doc Martin, Casualty and Beyond Paradise.TV and radio presenter Roman Kemp is also in the mix. During an appearance on The One Show, Emma Barton - who plays Honey on EastEnders - was chatting with Alex Jones and Roman about the upcoming series after her own successful stint on it.As Alex announced that soap star Lacey was joining the show, she asked her co-star Emma: "Have you spoken to her? How is she feeling?" Emma gushed: "She’s such a gorgeous wonderful woman and the audience are going to love her."She continued: "And I’m so proud of her because it’s nerve-racking, isn’t it.
