The Peaq – named after the English word ‘peak’ – is Škoda’s fifth electric vehicle and one of four models currently in the Czech carmaker’s line-up, alongside the now-discontinued Citigo iV. It is also the brand’s second battery-electric SUV this year, following the compact Škoda Epiq, which celebrated its premiere in May.
Measuring 4.87 metres in length, the Peaq is more than 20 centimetres longer than the Enyaq and starts at €49,990. It has a wheelbase of 2.97 metres and seats five as standard, with an optional seven-seat configuration. We covered the model in detail when it made its world debut.
Following the recent start of series production in Mladá Boleslav, Škoda says customer demand for its new flagship model is strong. By the end of July, the carmaker had received nearly 8,500 orders for the Peaq.
Commenting on the production launch, Andreas Dick, Škoda Auto Board Member for Production and Logistics, said: “The new Škoda Peaq represents the pinnacle of our range in terms of comfort, spaciousness and technology, while its production also meets the most stringent standards of quality, efficiency and flexibility.”
Alongside the Peaq, the Mladá Boleslav plant also builds three other models: the combustion-engined Octavia Combi, which remains Škoda’s best-selling model, and the battery-electric Enyaq and Elroq SUVs. The Enyaq has been produced there since 2020, followed by the Elroq from January 2025.
