MOSCOW, August 7. /TASS/. The deployment of advanced domestic naval robotic systems and the subsequent development of the Russian Navy’s maritime echelon based on them will prevent enemy naval forces from participating in military conflicts against Russia, according to Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov, head of the military training and research center Naval Academy.

"An advanced maritime echelon of the Navy can be formed within the strategic formation of the Russian Armed Forces, making it possible to reduce the capabilities of, or even eliminate, the participation of foreign navies in military operations," writes Yevmenov in an article entitled "The Role of Naval Robotic Systems in Strategic Operations of the Russian Armed Forces" published in the Russian Defense Ministry’s journal Military Thought that TASS has obtained.

Yevmenov notes that the current and future composition of naval robotic systems is potentially capable of conducting several strategic-level operations. These include Robotic Blockade — the preemptive blocking of enemy naval bases, Robotic Interdiction — interference with the enemy’s deploying naval forces, Robotic Paralysis — the destruction of critical enemy coastal infrastructure facilities, and Robotic Destruction — inflicting maximum damage on enemy naval formations.
