NewsUK NewsB&M LimitedThe closure of the B&M stores in Carmarthen and Sunderland form part of a shake up to business operations - but the stores will reopen days later with promises of a 'bigger and better experience' for shoppers06:50, 07 Aug 2026A major bargain retailer has confirmed the closure dates of two of its stores - before they reopen shortly after as part of a big 'shake-up of operations.‌The closure of the B&M stores in Carmarthen store on Hall Street will shut on Saturday, August 15, while the store is in Sunderland will close on Sunday, August 16.‌The Carmarthen branch move to a new location opening one week later in a former B&Q unit on Glanyrafon Road.‌This new site will be one of the largest retail spaces in town as the brand aims for a "bigger and better B&M experience'" for shoppers, The Sun reports.‌The temporary closure of the Sunderland outlet at Riverside Retail Park will allow for the final phase of a revamp to be completed.
