With the Pro 2, Viture has introduced its lightest and flattest display glasses to date, once again following competitor Xreal, which recently positioned the new "xbx" model series in the lower price segment. The Pro 2 weighs 63 grams, making it 20 percent lighter and 16 percent slimmer than the 2024 predecessor model, according to the manufacturer.
Like all display glasses, it only works via a USB-C cable connection with smartphones, laptops, or handhelds and projects a virtual image into the field of vision via so-called "birdbath optics." Cameras for spatial tracking (6DoF) are missing, which is why the virtual image cannot be fixed at a specific point in space without additional accessories – a significant difference compared to devices like the Meta Quest 3 or Apple Vision Pro.
Brighter image, sharper edges
Under the designation “UltraClarity 3.0” Viture promises optical improvements. The sharpness is said to be uniform not only in the center but also towards the corners of the 50-degree field of vision. The first Pro model achieved 46 degrees, while other models such as the Viture Luma Ultra or the flagship "The Beast" are at 52 and 58 degrees. Viture also promises increased image stability and reduced geometric distortions.
