Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Starz announced the casting for a new drama on Thursday. Still untitled, the show will follow the Clarke family in the world of Black rodeo in Texas.
DeWanda Wise, Tian Richards and Marcus Mitchell are the first actors cast in the series. Production begins in Atlanta, Ga. this year.
The first season will consist of eight hour-long episodes.
Wise plays Anaya Clarke-Reagan, mayor of Trinity City who is the oldest Clarke sibling. Her husband, Gregg Reagan, has not been cast yet.
