A Professor of Political Science at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nnaoma Iwu, has said Governor Hope Uzodimma’s investment in infrastructure has laid a solid foundation that will benefit successive administrations in Imo State.
Iwu said future governments would benefit from Uzodimma’s emphasis on quality and durability in infrastructure projects, particularly road construction.
In a statement made available to The PUNCH on Thursday, the academic said the governor’s administration had introduced a new approach to governance in the state.
“Senator Hope Uzodimma ushered in a paradigm shift that has drawn the attention of individuals, the Nigerian state and the global community,” he said.
Uzodimma assumed office as the 16th governor of Imo State on January 15, 2020, following the Supreme Court’s nullification of the election of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Emeka Ihedioha, who had earlier been declared winner of the 2019 governorship poll.
