Iran's deal with Oman to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could exclude U.S. craft, Bloomberg News reported. Fears that the deal would fail to fully reopen the key energy route caused a spike in oil futures. Hopes for an end to the energy crisis had spurred industrial activity and factory stocks in recent weeks.
