Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland has officially been unveiled as a judge on The Voice UK with a new image released by bosses confirming her place on the lineup21:03, 06 Aug 2026Updated 21:04, 06 Aug 2026Kelly Rowland has joined the judging panel on The Voice. The singer, who is best known for being part of Destiny's Child alongside Beyoncé and Michelle Williams, will be seen alongside Sir Tom Jones, Danny Jones, Will.i.am and Tom Fletcher when the hit competition series returns to screens. After the end of the last series, which was aired in 2024 and won by Ava Mannings, it was confirmed by ITV that the pre-recorded fourteenth series would be delayed by a year, and now a new image released by ITV has given a first look glimpse as Kelly replaces LeAnn Rimes in the lineup. The Voice UK first aired on the BBC in 2012 before later moving over to ITV, and as part of the unique format, sees the judges sit with their backs to the auditionee, turning around and choosing to mentor them only if they like what they hear. But one major change which insiders have teased concerns the format, and it has been claimed that, whilst judges will now have the power to change their mind after the initial audition if they feel they need to.A source said: "This is a bit of a revolution for The Voice, which has pretty much remained unchanged since it launched in the UK in 2012.Speaking to The Sun, the source added: “The rewind element will see the judges given the power to perform a U-turn on a previous decision to pass over a performer. It means they can reflect, then add them to their team, which will certainly keep the singers on their toes."Outside of Destiny's Child, Kelly has has sold over 40 million records globally and is recognised for chart-topping singles such as Stole, Dilemma and Motivation. In 2011, she joined Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh on the judging panel of The X Factor and mentored acts such as Amelia Lily, Misha B and Janet Devlin.Speaking about the news last year, Kelly said: “I am excited to join The Voice UK as a coach, and am looking forward to working with the excellent and passionate coaches the show is known for. I can’t wait to hear all the new talent and to go to battle for my team. Let’s go!”From September, Emma Willis will be taking the reins on Strictly Come Dancing alongside Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe but will still be seen on the pre-recorded series of The Voice , as she helps the mentors to search for their next winner, who will take home a £50,000 cash prize and be awarded a record deal with Universal Music. It was previously reported Tom and Danny were unable to commit to series 15 because of their busy schedules, and rapper Aitch, who competed on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2025, was in talks to replace the pair of them, who currently operate as mentors on a joint basis.Article continues belowAt the time, a source said: "Tom and Danny loved their time on the show, but a full series is a huge commitment. Tom is back and forth from New York, working on taking Paddington: The Musical over there from London’s West End and he’s also in and out of the studio writing the eighth McFly album with Danny. As much as they would have liked to return to The Voice, sadly it’s impossible."Like this story?
