During a Russian missile and drone attack in the Black Sea, the German dry cargo ship Emil sustained significant damage, while in Ukraine, a Puma warehouse was damaged and the central warehouse of the German automotive chemicals manufacturer Liqui Moly was destroyed.

The German bulk carrier Emil was struck by several Russian drones in the Black Sea near Odesa. This caused several technical systems to fail, rendering the ship unable to maneuver, and a fire broke out on board.
According to the publication, the attack took place on August 5, when the ship was about 21 nautical miles (approximately 39 km) from the port of Odesa.
It is also noted that another UAV struck the ship during the evacuation of the crew.
