Campaigner and reality TV star Georgia Harrison has issued a statement as Stephen Bear is sent back to prison for 16 months after breaching a restraining order19:09, 06 Aug 2026Updated 19:10, 06 Aug 2026Georgia Harrison has issued a statement after Stephen Bear was sent back to jail after breaching a restraining order that prohibited him from posting about her online.‌At Chelmsford Crown Court today on August 6, Bear was told he would be returning to prison for 16 months, and was taken into immediate custody. The disgraced reality TV star, 36, must now serve a minimum of eight months in prison before release.‌Additionally, his sentence came with a new restraining order that means he cannot seek to contact Harrison indefinitely. The initial restraining order was imposed in 2023, when Bear shared a video of himself having sex with Harrison and shared it on OnlyFans and WhatsApp without Harrison's knowledge.‌Bear then posted about Harrison several times in 2025 (while she was pregnant) despite the restraining order on his behaviour. Harrison has now spoken out about the hearing saying that she understands how rare it is that she was listened to and felt that her case was treated as a 'serious crime' and not just a 'celebrity story'.Following the hearing, reflecting on the original case and Wednesday’s sentence, Harrison said in a statement shared by the police: “Essex Police took me seriously when so many women in my position are overlooked.‌“They treated this as the serious crime it is - not a celebrity story. It is a real offence against a real person. They built the case properly, they stayed with it, and when the order was breached, they acted instead of shrugging. From the messages I get every day, I know how rare that still is."If every force treated this the way Essex Police did, thousands of women would feel safer today."After he was released from prison in early 2024, Bear embarked on a social media campaign which saw him accuse Harrison of being part of a conspiracy against him, claiming that his guilty verdict was the result of a hidden plot. Some of the posts were viewed millions of times and many included images of Harrison along with defamatory statements.‌While in court testifying against Bear, Harrison said that Bear's online presence left her fearing for her safety and left her "feeling petrified".Article continues belowJudge Christopher Morgan, who presided over the original trial in 2023, said that Bear's posts and videos shared in 2025 were "to ensure the maximum harm [was] caused to Georgia Harrison"."You knew all of that was untrue, and yet you posted it," he said.
