The authority said the consultation is in compliance with Section 216(1) of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021, which requires stakeholder engagement before the finalisation of regulations.
The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has invited licensees, permit holders and other stakeholders to submit comments on proposed Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Prevention of Anti-Competitive Practices and Behaviour Regulations.
The authority said the consultation is in compliance with Section 216(1) of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021, which requires stakeholder engagement before the finalisation of regulations.
In a public notice signed by the Authority Chief Executive, Rabiu A. Umar, the NMDPRA urged stakeholders to review the draft regulations on its website and submit their comments within 21 days from the date of publication.
