Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has pledged between 100 to 300 hectares of land for the establishment of the newly approved Nigerian Army 10 Division, promising to complete all legal documentation, including the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, within two weeks.
The commitment was made on Thursday when the governor received a delegation from the Nigerian Army Headquarters at the Government House in Yola.
SaharaReporters learnt that the army authorities had requested for 300 hectares of land to accommodate the new division. The governor promised to give them what they want.
The team, led by Major General Bassy O. Ime on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, was in the state to assess potential sites for the deployment of troops and the establishment of military formations under the newly approved division.
