President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on the imposition of sanctions against Russia and instructed officials to prepare an operational plan designed to significantly curtail the Russian military-industrial complex.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky announced this on Facebook.

“I held a coordination meeting regarding our sanctions—all types of sanctions against Russia for the war. The most important task is to not give Russia time to adapt to the restrictions. We see that every Russian missile, every drone, and most other types of Russian weapons contain critical components from other countries, without which such weapons simply would not exist,” Zelensky noted.

The meeting also addressed Russia’s use of machinery and technologies in which Moscow lags behind by a generation and would certainly be unable to develop on its own. According to Zelensky, more pressure is needed to limit the aggressor state’s ties with the rest of the world.
