Teco Electric & Machinery Co (東元電機) has signed a corporate power purchase agreement with what it described as a leading semiconductor company in Taiwan, as the electromechanical equipment maker expands into the renewable energy trading market. The long-term agreement is expected to cover more than 30 megawatts of renewable generation capacity and more than 300 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy, Teco Electric said in a statement yesterday. The company expects power delivery under the agreement to start by the end of this year, with supply ramping up progressively, it said.
