Airport police said Wednesday they had received a letter of appreciation from Chinese tourist Jiming Shi after officers recovered and returned her boyfriend's Rolex watch, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.
In the letter, Jiming praised the officers for their professionalism, dedication and sense of responsibility.
Jiming reported around 7 p.m. on Monday that her boyfriend's watch had gone missing before boarding a flight from Phu Quoc to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport in China, Thanh Nien newspaper reported.

Police immediately stepped in to trace the lost watch.
