Norway is ready to assist Ukraine with the supply of air defense systems and cooperation with partners that possess anti-ballistic capabilities, President Volodymyr Zelensky said after speaking with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky shared details of the conversation on Facebook.

"I discussed our defense against Russian strikes with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Stoere. I am grateful to Norway for its readiness to assist both with air defense supplies and by working with partners that have the necessary anti-ballistic capabilities. We are trying to accelerate all processes as much as possible – capabilities to protect our people are needed every day," Zelensky said.

Zelensky also briefed Stoere on the implementation of the Freyja program and the timeline for Ukraine's next steps.

"Norwegian representatives are involved in this work, and we value their contribution. We also coordinated our activities for August. We expect to reach important bilateral agreements within the framework of the strategic partnership between our countries," Zelensky said.
