America’s veteran singer, Faheem Rashad Najm, popularly known as T-Pain, has secured his family’s future by selling his entire music catalogue for about sh13 billion ($100 million).

The Grammy-winning artist made the deal in early 2025 with HarbourView Equity Partners, saying the main reason was to protect his three children, daughter Lyriq and sons Muziq and Kaydnz, from the unpredictable music industry.

Speaking on a Twitch livestream, T-Pain explained that streaming changed everything without asking artists.

He said when platforms like Spotify started, no one told musicians how much their songs would be worth. Instead, songs that once sold for a dollar each now earn as little as 0.003 cents per play.
