A brief commotion was witnessed in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on Thursday when the Agriculture Minister R Vinoth, after completing his budget speech, began making other comments digressing from the printed text. The DMK MLAs strongly objected to this. However, the Minister continued to speak. Once he finished, the DMK MLAs demanded that the Minister should not be allowed to speak about anything outside the budget speech and insisted that the statements made beyond the budget be expunged from the Assembly records.However, Speaker J C D Prabhakar said if there was anything in the remarks that warranted removal, it would be expunged. The DMK members continued to insist that everything spoken outside the budget speech should be removed.
