Company director and agent sentenced for property fraud worth R27 million in Bethlehem.
Two property fraudsters, Peters Wilhemus Viljoen, aged 52 and Samuel Kamolase Mofokeng, aged 48, have been handed lengthy prison sentences by the Bethlehem Regional Court.
They were convicted of defrauding multiple people of approximately R27 million via Blue Key Properties Brokers.
The fraud scheme impacted around 66 victims who lost substantial sums of money deposited into the property company's account.
Following investigations conducted by the Bethlehem Hawks unit in the Free State, the suspects were arrested on August 30 last year, leading to their subsequent conviction and sentencing.
