Referrals to the UK's Prevent deradicalisation programme reached a record 10,293 in the year ending September 2025, a 39 per cent increase.
The number of people on Channel, the scheme's most extreme cases division, more than doubled compared to the previous year.
Extreme right-wing concerns led referrals at 20 per cent, while Islamist extremism and fascination with extreme violence each accounted for 8 per cent.
