The Jaecoo J7 has become one of Britain's best-selling vehicles.
When the Jaecoo J7 first arrived in global markets, its smooth lines attracted plenty of praise but also invited some tongue-in-cheek comparisons, with some dubbing it the “Range Rover you bought on Shein”.
But regardless of how closely it resembles a certain luxury British SUV, the Jaecoo J7 has surged up the sales charts in the UK, becoming one of the nation’s top-selling vehicles almost overnight.
According to official sales figures published by Auto Express, the Jaecoo J7, which is badged simply as the '7' in that market, was Britain’s third best-selling vehicle in the first seven months of 2026, with a total of 26,549 units sold. Topping the list were the Ford Puma (33,173) and Kia Sportage (29,033), while the Chinese podium finisher was followed by the Nissan Qashqai (26,326) and Vauxhall (Opel) Corsa (20,796). Another Chinese SUV also made the top 10, with the MG HS taking seventh spot ahead of the Volkswagen Golf, with 19,424 sales.
Omoda & Jaecoo celebrated another milestone in July, becoming the third best-selling brand in the UK with sales of 8,905 units, giving it a market share of 5.7%, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
