For Michael Jordan‘s final season with the Chicago Bulls, he won his sixth Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy. At the peak of his career in Chicago, MJ retired from the NBA for the second time during his career. For his “last dance,” he was wearing a pair of Nike Air Jordan 13 signature shoes.
Nike is set to reintroduce the Air Jordan 13 sneakers, originally released for the 1997-98 NBA season, in a new “Wings” colorway. The signature shoes drop on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT.
Priced at $215, the Nike Air Jordan 13 sneakers are made from premium materials, including authentic and synthetic leather, as well as a luxuriant and lush textile-material upper with a clean look and fresh feel that has an old school look with a modern appeal.
Additionally, the signature shoes have the iconic “Jumpman” logo and Jordan “Wings” on their tongues, the “Jordan” branding at the base of the laces, “Zoom Air” bubble in each midsole and prominent quilted overlay on the quarter panels. They even have a green holographic eye with Jordan’s logo at the outer collars. These sneakers have a classic look with loads of style that works just as well now, as they did back then.
